HA1YA GS35 tube amplifier
I owned for many years a HA1YA ME1500 GS35b tube amplifier. That was working great but I sold it because I always carry my RIG to the VHF-QTH and backwards to home. This amplifier was too heavy for me – the only reason – so I changed to a easier FET-PA. I made as small mod on it for tuning also the input see picture with the coupling.

New Westtower
In April 2011 I got the chance to buy a used Westtower 3HD/FBP with a hight of 17,75m. This was owned by a club member who got  sk a year before and the new house owner didn’t wanted to have such a huge ugly building in his garden. So he offered it to me for €100.- He didn’t had to beg me for long to dismantle it in his garden. With the help of my club members we picked up the tower and transported it to my VHF QTH. I renewed all stainless steel cables and removed the rust of the winch. The concrete foundation was already there and I only had to made a special 1 cm steel plate to match the threaded bars. A good guy I know who is very skilfully in welding made that for €30.-  At all the tower costs me €250.- and a box of good German beer for my club colleges. Now the Westtower is like new and the 5el. 50 MHz yagi and one of the 4x5el. for 144 MHz found it’s place on that tower. If the tower is pulled complete out the highest antenna is on ~29 meter over ground ! I have the complete static calculation and other documents for this tower. If you need the statics drop me a email.
I found a lot of good information to restore my Versatower/Westtower here: Lattice tower info + Wire rope information page
